Yeah, capitalism and the quick fix mentality are both driving everyone mad. It seems children's welfare is now on the list of things to sacrifice for a quick fix.
I ponder the quick fix epidemic a lot. It's hard really to pin-point what started it. One idea, is that it has to do with the computer age(being able to get information quickly and easily) Another idea is fast food, convenience stores, being able to go to Walmart and get anything you need, etc.
Somewhere down the road, a good majority of humanity (especially in America) got the idea that everything should be easy like the things stated above...and that's just not the case. Some things have to, and definitely should remain complicated.
